City of San Fernando Mayor Oca Rodriguez stated that this year’s competing giant lanterns will be “better and brighter” with new frames and materials used for the competition. In addition, the GLF 2011 is expected to become more exciting with new entrants Barangays Calulut and Del Carmen joining Barangays Dolores, Sto. Nino, Del Pilar, San Jose, San. Juan, Telabastagan, and San Pedro for a total of ten competing barangays.
